Chicago Lawyer Handling EB-1C Visas

EB-1C visas (managers and executives of multinational companies) provide an immigration opportunity for executives and managers of foreign companies that are affiliated with a U.S. company. This visa category can provide permanent residency status for those who have been managers or executives overseas and have been transferred to the U.S. There is also a temporary version of this visa called the L-1 visa.

I am attorney Scott M. Beller. Over the past 25 years, I have helped hundreds of businesses, professionals and skilled workers reach their goals for employment-based immigration. From my law office in Chicago, I represent managers, executives and employers throughout Illinois and the nation.

Advantages of EB-1C Visas

If you meet the qualifications as manager or executive with a company affiliated with a U.S. company, there are a number of advantages to obtaining an EB-1C visa, including:

A permanent job offer is required to obtain permanent residency as a manager or executive of a multinational company.

What Does it Mean to be Affiliated with a U.S. Company?

Your employer must be a parent, branch or subsidiary of a U.S. company. The U.S. company office can be a startup, as long as you have worked for the foreign company for at least one year out of the last three and the foreign company will continue to exist after you open the branch or subsidiary in the United States.

What is an Executive or Manager?

Not every one who has manager in their job title will qualify under this visa category. As your lawyer, I will review your job description and your responsibilities to determine if you meet the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) definition of manager or executive of a multinational company.
