Guiding You Through the Visa Process

Foreign nationals seeking employment-based visas to work in the United States face an alphabet soup of categories and preferences. In many of these categories, the number of applicants exceed the number of visas allocated each year. Without the help of an experienced lawyer, you could spend time and money pursuing employment-based immigration under a category that offers you little hope of success.

I am attorney Scott M. Beller. Over the past 25 years, I have helped hundreds of businesses, professionals and skilled workers reach their goals for employment-based immigration. From my law office in Chicago, I represent employees and employers throughout Illinois and the nation.

As your lawyer, I will review your background and credentials and help you choose the employment-based visa category that offers you the greatest opportunity for obtaining a green card for permanent residency in the United States.

Some people may qualify for immigration under more than one category. Some immigration categories (such as aliens of extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, and managers and executives of multinational corporations) are pre-certified, meaning they do not have to go through the PERM/labor certification process.

Non-immigrant visas: In addition to permanent residency, I also help individuals and companies obtain temporary work visas such as H-1B and intracompany transfers.
